Site Security

I have built a power point presentation concerning transmitter site security.  It can be viewed as a PDF HERE.

This document is sporadically updated.  The last update available was  09/03/2007.

6ft chain link topped with barbed wire constitutes a good tower base security effort.

This rotten wooden fence wouldn't keep out anything. And would certainly catch an FCC inspectors eye.

This fence is only about 5ft tall and has no barbed wire. This fence is totally unsuitable for site security. Even my fat butt could climb over!

Leaving reels of cable unsecured is an invitation for theft.

This security light was destroyed by one well placed rock. Being a utility owned lamp, it can not be current monitored.

This site had good fencing but should have at least had locked chains thru the gates.

Standard chain link fence latches are not suitable for more than rudimentary security. A sturdy chain should augment this latch.
